Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

It has been 25 years since Jurassic Park was released and it remains the best of all the Jurassic films. However, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has certainly enhanced the visual effects and has also put a new spin on the tale by expanding on ethical issues of animal cruelty and war. The film is set after the events of Jurassic World, where the dinosaurs were left alone on the island. However, now they are faced with the problem of an erupting volcano.

Director J.A. Bayona has created an action-packed film with some fantastic intense scenes. As usual, there is a great use of music and many enjoyable references to the earlier films that fans will enjoy. Overall, the cast was solid. However, Chris Pratt’s comedic skills were under-utilised and Jeff Goldblum did not have enough screen time. Bryce Dallas Howard actually did a better job in this film, portraying a strong female lead. There were also many great new characters introduced, although not all were developed enough. This film is definitely worth seeing at the cinema for the full explosive experience.
